installing JAVA 6 on vista SP-1

I am trying to install JAVA 6 on my machine (OS - vista) from sun download page. I am going nuts with the number of errors am getting..

Error 25099: Unzipping core files failed.

Uncompression of file failed.

blah blah ...

am i the only one facing these problems?
