Enterprise Manager

Hi,

I would like to install Grid Control x64 on Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.2 x64. You might ask why wasting my time do that as the nice 11g version is out!

Because I have to in order to prepare my OCM exam!!

The environment for the exam is still using Grid control 10.2.0.5 on Linux 5.2.

The preliminary question could be: Do one of you know when Oracle is planning to move forward that exam with Grid Control 11g?

I already red some documents and in my understanding, I have to install:

Grid Control 10.2.0.3 x64 first
then
Upgrade to Grid Control 10.2.0.5 x64
Correct?

The problem is that Grid Control 10.2.0.3 x64 is NOT supported under Linux 5.2 x64!!

I am very surprise that during the exam they will request to install Grid Control 10.2.0.5 with this bizarre path. I think I will have some time pressure some how :-)

So I have try to run the installer bypassing the prerequisite checks and it successfully installed:

- The Files
- Link is ok
- Setup is Successful
- The configuration gives two errors:

OUI-10133 Invalid Staging Arrea
OUI-10132 Source location specified is invalid

Ok, I will found out about that but question, do you think at that stage, I can decently upgrade directly the binaries to version 10.2.0.5? And the do my Grid Control Configuration.

Any precise information on this will be very helpful.
