Installing 32-bit client on a 64-bit machine

RamaniNJSep 13 2018 — edited Sep 14 2018

Hello:

I just installed a developer version of Oracle 12.2.0 on a 64-bit windows machine. It works fine. I am able to connect to the instance usng DB_visualizer (64-bit).

However, when I tried using Toad, it complains that it cannot find OCI.dll which is under my ORACLE_HOME directory. I then hear that it requires a 32-bit client.

Can I install the 32-bit client in the same Oracle_home instance? Would I be able to use either DB_Visualizer (likes the 64-bit drivers) or Toad (which requires a 32-bit client) on the same machine?

Thank you for your guidance,
