Installation quietly dies
843804May 15 2004 — edited May 16 2004I'm trying to install J2SDK 1.4.2_04 but the installation quietly dies in between. It gets to the point where it asks you to agree to the EULA and then dies without any message. I've tried installing the JRE and earlier versions with identical results. I do have a couple of previous versions of the SDK already previously installed but need the latest version. I'm unable to reinstall even a version that I already have installed. I could uninstall all previous versions first but don't want to risk losing java altogether if that doesn't work unless someone here thinks it has a good chance of working.
