Installation problem with Orale 8i Client

Hi
I have an application to check the compatibility with 9i and 8i client I have checked ith 9i not I need to remove completely and install 8i client on my machine (Win2k Prof). I uninstalled the 9i by oracle installer but now when I trying to install 8i there is some problem and even cannn't get the installer's window also.
Do any one have some solution then please let me know
