Oracle Database Discussions

Hi Friends...

I'm using windows7 32 bit.

i want to install oracle 11g in my system.

*2 PROBLEMS:*

*1.* In 1st page: (Configure Security Settings):-

i Gave my oracle username and password.

After giving NEXT it is asking

PROXY SERVER
PROXY PORT
PROXY USERNAME
PROXY PASSWORD

I don't know these details. what should i give here.?

There is a CHECK BOX stating "i want to remain uninformed official security issues in my configuration"

i click that, and gave next (because in don't know those details).

*2.* in 2nd page(INSTALLATION OPTIONS):

THERE ARE 3 OPTIONS
1. CREATE AND CONFIGURE DATABASE
2. INSTALL DATABASE SOFTWARE ONLY
3. UPGRADE AN EXISTING DATABASE.

WHATEVER OPTION I SELECT, I'm getting this error:

*[INS-08102] Unexpected error while transitioning from state 'instal Options'*

Are you sure you want to continue?

when i click details:

Cause - No additional information available.
Action - Contact Oracle Support Services or refer to the software manual.
Summary  - java.lang.NullPointerException+

Please help me to solve this issue...
