installation error 1327 - no Drive F:

I am trying to install j2sdk-1_4_2_05 on a windows XP machine

online and offline version result in ERROR 1327 - INVALID DRIVE F:

I have no drive F:
i didn't specify drive F:

I meet all hardware requirements

ideas?
