Install Oracle11g on linux Could not execute auto check for display colors

Hi

i review some documents regarding the installation of oracle 11g i follow every steps carefully until i executed the command run installer and then i have got the following error:

oracle@mintlinux-oraccle ~/database $ ./runInstaller

the trial that I execute to sole my problem is posted below

  1. Ctrl + Alt + F2 star new tty and logon as ROOT and startx to Log on to XWindows
  2. Open a terminal
  3. enter 'xhost +'
  4. enter 'su - oracle'
  5. enter 'export DISPLAY=:0.0'
  6. runInstaller

is this error coming from the OS or some thing related to java loading ?? is there any suggestions ??
