Install of sunfreeware package in local zone

807559Jan 11 2010 — edited Jan 15 2010
Hi,

I have a slight problem with installing packages from sunfreeware in a local zone and was hoping for some help.

The package in question is (gmp-4.2.1-sol10-sparc-local)

PKGINST: SMCgmp
NAME: gmp
CATEGORY: application
ARCH: sparc
VERSION: 4.2.1
BASEDIR: /var/tmp
VENDOR: FSF
PSTAMP: Steve Christensen
INSTDATE: Jan 11 2010 15:01
EMAIL: steve@smc.vnet.net
STATUS: completely installed
FILES: 95 installed pathnames
11 directories
3 executables
7633 blocks used (approx)

and when I attempt to install it, it comes back with alot of

<snip>
ERROR: attribute verification of </usr/local/lib/libgmp.a> failed
pathname does not exist
ERROR: attribute verification of </usr/local/lib/libgmp.la> failed
pathname does not exist
ERROR: attribute verification of </usr/local/lib/libgmp.so.3.4.1> failed
pathname does not exist

The pkgadd creates the directories and symlinks, but not the files (from reloc). /usr/local is writeable in the zone.
Has anyone seen this before or has any ideas to what might be wrong. I suspect I will shout DOH! when finding the answer ;-)

thanks in advance
//Mike
