Hi All,
I have windows 7 home premium, 64 bit computers. I have tried in both the computers to install obiee11g. I am able to install oracle database and rcu ,while installing obiee 11g I get the error message.
INST-08058: A lookup of the address for this machine returned an IP address rather than a hostname.
I successfully installed microsoft loopback adapter in both the computers and did the configuration and was able to ping successfully as shown in the link below.

Still, after installing loopback adapter, I am getting the same message while installing obiee 11g . I have disabled the firewall and anti virus too.In the miscrosoft loopback adapter it show unidentified network.
I have tried to check loopback adapter in regedit as showed by the following link that will solved the issue of unidentified identified network( public network) showing in Microsoft loopback adapter.

but was not able to located the microsoft loopback adapter in “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}”. folders.
Has anyone faced the same problem in Windows 7 home premium and solved this issue. Do we have to download
MSVCR71.DLL,MSVCP71.DLL files in Window 7 home premium as shown by

I have installed in windows server, windows 7 enterprise and professional. There is no problem with Microsoft loopback adapter .
Any suggestion for this issue or else do I need to upgrade my OS.
