inserting a new record into database from a form

Hi friends,

I am trying to insert a record into the database through a form i created in Oracle 10g.
Normally, by using the default menu bar(DEFAULT&SMARTBAR), i should be able to save the record, shouldn't I?

Can somebody please help me sort out this problem?
