Insert New Rows, Update Existing Rows In One Shot.. in form 6i using merge concept..

I am trying to write the procedure in form 6i..

My requirement is we have entered some asset number in fields and user tries to change the assets then in that cases related fields and values should get reflected before we go save option. Only at the time of new entries value of asset not at the time of update..

Please help me to solve this..
