Insert Blob in a table

Hi to all ...

I have on the applicatin server some file image ... pdf etc. and I need to insert it on a blob col of a table ...

Can someone suggest to me some line code for read a file and insert it in a blob table ...

I have PHP Version 4.3.9 ...

Please easy code i'm neophyte in PHP ....
