[INS-13001] Environment doesnt meet minimum requirements

Hi,

Created linux virtualbox on windows 8, 64-bit host machine. Installed the VM components on virtualbox and tested database and tools using sqlplus and PIA respectively.

But while while installing oracle database client (32-bit) it has been failing with the following error "[INS-13001] Environment doesn't meet minimum requirements". I did some research in the web but no luck.

Below is the client: Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Client (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (32-bit)
win32_11gR2_client.zip(684,581,290 bytes)

Please help me with a solution. Appreciate your help.
