INITRANS question.

KunwarApr 5 2014 — edited Apr 6 2014

hi Friends,

Recently i faced few  issues ("enq: TX - allocate ITL entry"  waits on a table) due to which i had to increase INITRANS of the tables/indexes in question. Earlier it was default value.

In coming days i will be creating DBs for the similar implementation. I am thinking of keeping the INITRANS of all the application tables/indexes to 32.

Do you see any disadvantages with keeping all objects' INITRANS to 32 instead of default?

I don't want to wait for the application testing to commence there and later i have to increase INITRANS.

Thanks,

Kunwar
