Informix 9.4 to Oracle 9i

Hello,

We are planning to use Oracle Workbench for migrating an existing Informix 9.4 database (around 80 GB) to Oracle 9i (Release 2 - 9.2.x). We have few queries regarding the usage of the tool.

1. When we use workbench for migrating Informix database to Oracle, will the workbench apply any lock on the tables of Informix database?

2. When the Workbench is migrating Informix database, will it create any temporary tables or manipulates existing tables?

3. The size of the datbase we are planning to migrate is 80 Gigs. Can we install Workbench on a desktop (Intel P4, 256 MB, 40GB) and use it for migration.?
Note: The source and target databases are on Solaris 2.8 server.

Please provide me the clarifications on the above questions.
