I'm looking for the document that was once linked on this page:

In the link, there's a line saying, “For a detailed description of how the init process uses the inittab file, see init(1M)," with a page linked within “init(1M)”. The link goes nowhere, but I'd love to read whatever it was.
Any thoughts on where to find that doc?
