Informatica Installation on Linux

user10800227Feb 10 2011
I am trying to install Informatica on Oracle Linux and am having a problem creating the domain.

When the installer tries to create the domain I am getting the nasty Oracle shared memory realm does not exist error. Everything I can find says this means the db is not running but that is not true. I can connect to it and perform queries etc from both the dbserver and the infromatica server but only through Oracle client. When I try to use the JDBC connection in the installation it errors.

I am completely lost for ideas and this is urgent for me now on this project. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is Informatica 8.6.1 on Oracle Unbreakable Linux if that matters.

Thank you in advance for any responses and your time.
