Incremenatl Load for Financial Analyics using Informatica-Performance issue

We are running an incremental loads for Financial Analytics from Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2 using Informatica 8.6. Our version of the OBIEE Apps is 7.9.6. Has anyone run into having to add indexes on LAST_UPDATE_DATE from several of the source tables such as AP_AE_HEADERS_ALL. We are analyzing performance issues with the ETL Queries for the incremental load and have realized that most of the queries are using LAST_UPDATE_DATE to extract the data from the source tables. Some of the source tables do not have an index on this field.

Has anyone run into this issue?
