We have a customer with a regulatory requirement that could exceed the current FT GL records limit set by Product, which is currently 999. This is the same customer who previously requested an increase in the limit from 99 to 999 due to similar regulatory requirements from the government tax agency.
They anticipate that the 999 limit could be exceeded again if the government mandates treating market participants as suppliers. Currently, they are already generating up to 130 FT GL lines. This is because government rules require them to build VAT components for each of their suppliers in the rate schedule. Since they are using Cash Accounting in the distribution codes of the rate components, each payment collected adds two more FT GLs to the billing entries.
On average, they need to add 4 to 5 suppliers to the rate schedule each year for each DU. The government tax agency previously asked them to add market participants from the spot market as suppliers. They currently purchase energy from 400 market participants, which means the system should be prepared to accommodate an additional 3 FT GLs for each market participant.
