Increase the column/field length

Hi All,

I want to increase the field length of existing Oracle standard form, the database column length is 30 characters but while designed the layout the field length set to 25 characters. I do not want to touch this standard form, so is there any Oracle patch available to increase the field length? or some alternate way to do this?
