Increase Processes and Sessions

scottjhnAug 27 2012 — edited Aug 28 2012
System: Oracle 11g R2 on SUSE Linux 11.

The default Processes: 150

If there are 1000 or more (but < 3000) users access the Oracle server (indedicated mode), I am afraid of lack of the available number of processes and sessions to handle the traffic, so I intend to increase the # of processes to, say, 1000. I believe the Oracle will adjust the sessions and transactions accordingly.
