Incomplete recovery

Hi all,

I am working oracle 10g rel 1 in archive mode in windows xp. while I was trying out various scenarios of recovery issues, I need your suggestions in this.

I tried incomplete recovery.

First I added some records. Shutdown the database and took cold backup of entire datafiles, control files, online redo logs and archive logs.
Then I started the database and added few more records. commited and noted the time. Then truncated the table. Inorder to recover the table data I opened the database in mount stage. recover database until time 'recorded time'. but it gives me following error.
ORA-00283: recovery session canceled due to errors
ORA-19907: recovery time or SCN does not belong to recovered incarnation

Before all these I had opened the database in recovery issue in resetlogs. So I had to back archives old in separate location. and then I removed the archivelogs from default location. After that only I added records and later truncated to recover. I saw taking help of notes. Even my archives which are now created is of recovered incarnation it is giving this error.

Any suggestions please.
