include calendar icon on page

I want to include calendar icon on my jsp page.
example: i have a textfield(txtdob) that accepts Date of birth from user.
I want to insert calendar icon next to the txtdob textfield.
Please let me know how to do this and how to accept that selected date from the calendar into my program. how to write javascript code to accept the selected date.
