Improt command

235699Sep 30 2004 — edited Sep 30 2004
I have a table T1 in schema X which has columns a, b, c, d which has data existing in it.

I have taken a dump from T1 table in schema Y
which has columns a, b, c in it.

I would like to know:

1) Will importing data into schema X cause any problems due to the additional column d. The other columns match exactly

2) Will my existing data in Schema X be truncated or new data be appeneded. I do not want to lose the existing data.

Column d is something which is not present in Schema Y and is updated separatey after the import to load month.

Please help.

Thanks
