Importance of cardinality in execution plans

redy007Sep 4 2013 — edited Sep 5 2013

Hi all,

I've never thing about cardinality and it's impornace in execeution plan, now I by the made some research in SQL server performance and somehow I find some blogs about this topic. Everybody writes about it's importance and that it could be crucial if there will be big mistake in the estimatated numbers. I saw few examples, but I never so real difference in exection plan i.e. like there is another join method or worse cost of CPU....

Do so one of you have any example or coul it explain it to me?

Thanks for you time.

PS.: Ask Tom
