Import seems hung

561854Jul 27 2010 — edited Jul 30 2010
For about five years we have been updating our backup db by importing an export from the development db. In the past few months the import took 4-5 hours for about 25 million rows and several dozen indexes.

On most recent import attempt has been running for 24 hours and appears to still be on the table loading step. Looking at the Windows task manager I see that the Oracle process is using about 30-50% of cpu but memory usage for the Oracle process is slowly going up.

Is there a way to check on the progress of an import?

Where and/or what do I look at to determine if some sort of error condition has 'hung' Oracle?

Oracle 10g running on Windows server 2003. About 3Gb free space on the disk partition holding Oracle product. About 30Gb free space on the data partition. The export file we are using was imported successfully on our production db server configured the same.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated,
