Import Error

I've got an error during an import. Maybe you can help me. I've got no idea about it.
I am importing with oracle 10g express edition. And the .dmp file is an older version.
I've been trying this:
$imp system/manager file=c:\recargas.dmp full=yes ignore=yes
IMP-00010: archivo de exportacián no válido, ha fallado la verificación de la cabecera
IMP-00000: La importación no ha terminado correctamente
the system is in spanish. Says something like this:
IMP-00010: export file not valid, header verification fails.
IMP-00000: Iimport does not finish correctly.
