Implementation of OID for tnsnames replacement

Dear All,

We are planning to configure Oracle Internet directory for service naming resolution for the replacement of tnsnames. I have the following queries in order to implement in our environment.

1. I hope Oracle OID comes with oracle application server now a days. Which is latest production version that I can use to implement in our environment.
2. Where can I find the How to manuals in order to accomplish the installations.
