I've created a schema export to Object Sorage of my Always Free Autonomous Database (19c) and I'm now trying to import the dump in a new VM DBCS (21c) on OCI (paid version). I copied all the segment files to the dump directory on the VM
The problem I'm facing is that the export creates dump file segments in my Object Storage bucket named
MSL01.dmp_segments/aaaaaa
MSL01.dmp_segments/aaaaab
MSL01.dmp_segments/aaaaac
etc
So, not aaaa01, aaaa02, aaaa03 etc.
In the copy process the files were renamed (for easier access) to
dmp_aaaaaa.dmp
dmp_aaaaab.dmp
dmp_aaaaac.dmp
How do I import these files? Every documentation I've read mentions %U (or %L) as a wildcard, but that expects a numeric sequence, not aa, ab, ac etc.
So this
dumpfile=dmp_aaaa%U
results in:
unable to open dump file "/u01/app/oracle/homes/..../dmp_aaaa01.dmp" for read
