Ikernel.exe application error

when i try to download java web start, i get an error message,"Ikernel.exe-application error
"The instructions at "0x771c741a" referenced memory at "0x00163480". The memory could not be "read".
Click OK to terminate the program"
I am running XP Pro and IE 6
