iFS Login Problem

I have just taken over from our departing Oracle guru and am somewhat lost.

When I attempt to reach the iFS Login Page (login.jsp), all I get is "Internal Server Error - this server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration ...."

Can anyone give me a list of possible things to check? I seem to remember that it didn't take long to fix last time - unfortunately I was not privy to the details.
