ifconfig:permission denied in "Shared-IP Zones"

807559Jun 30 2009 — edited Jun 30 2009
Greetings,

when we are running "Shared IP Solaris 8 Zones" under Sol 10/08 x86 there are these messages during the
zone's boot process:

ifconfig: plumb: SIOCLIFADDIF: lo0:: permission denied
ifconfig: plumb: SIOCLIFADDIF: e1000g3:3: permission denied

But the zone is coming up and everything is working fine even all network services.

On the other hand by defining the zone's network as "exclusive" during the zonecfg procedure
(set ip-type=exclusive) we don't see these messages above.

Any suggestions or simply ignore this behavior?

THX, Rainer
