If I add more physical ram, do i need to adjust automatic memory management?

I'm using automatic memory management. Which as I understand it, manages memory allocation between the SGA and PGA.

Lets say my server has 8 gigs of ram and I bump that up to 16. Do I need to adjust any thing in oracle to tell it to take advantage of the new ram?

Also, is there a recommendation of how much of this 16 gigs I should be allowing oracle to take? 80% ? 70%? Etc.
