IE8 64bit Incapatable with 9.3.3 IR Web client plugin?

Based on problems we are seiing on a few client machines, we strongly suspect that the 64 bit version of IE8 is not compatable with the 9.3.3 IR Web Client Plugin.
Is this a known condition?

Forgive me if this question has already been answered. I am quite new to this forum.
