iBOT SSO Authentication error

We has SSO and external table authentication. When I run the iBOT with "Run As" option as an user who is not in the repository( I mean, a user whose details are in external table, which obiee uses for authentication) , it errors me like :
Odbc driver returned an error (SQLDriverConnectW).
State: 08004. Code: 10018. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: 08004] [nQSError: 10018] Access for the requested connection is refused.
[nQSError: 43001] Authentication failed for xxxx in repository Star: invalid user/password. (08004).
As a work around, I added the user in RPD and at that point, there is no authentication error; but, the report fails with some "Authorization" issue; Some session variables are not starting.
The point is that, since it's SSO, we don't add users in the RPD. But, if not, it's giving authentication error. I was not able to figure it out, where it was going wrong.
All the credential store settings are done.
Can you please provide your inputs.
