iAS Installation (9.0.2.0.1)

Good Morning,

I am installing iAS in a Solaris 2.6 OS enviroment. I have Oracle 8.0.5 running and OWS as well as an Oracle 9i database installed. I have shutdown all databases before installation of iAS. None of the database are using port 1521. I have been reading the various threads on iAS installation and the problems experienced. I am experiencing a lot of the same problems.

I noticed in one of the threads and reading 185261.1 that the oidmon and oidldapd should be owned by root. My are not and when I run root.sh it does not change. What should I do? Is this why I am getting the error "Cound not contact OiD Server"? Also, could this error be causing a rippling effect with the installation of the other configuration tools, i.e. Infrastructure Schema, Infrasture Instance, Single Sign-On, Oracle 9i Application Server randomize password,etc.
