I am not new to APEX, I understand application building, creating tables / Oracle structures / PL-SQL / etc.
This is not my problem.
We have a set up where APEX connectivity (ORDS?? (I am hazy on the connectivity part)) … is set up to talk to FIVE different databases … the URL looks like …
http://[server-name.company.com]:7001/[db-name]/f?p=4550:10::::::
… and this takes us in to the Workspace management areas for each of the 5 databases (from either the production ("PRD") or development ("MTD") server).
(typically, we set up our changes in one DEV install, then extract / migrate to a 2nd, then if that works, move to a 3rd with production-data access … it's worked pretty well for many years)
Here's the problem: I need to add a completely new database, so that I can access this from either PRD or MTD servers.
At the SQL plus / SQL Developer level, I added this to the TNSNAMES file, and … entry / access was just peachy, as per normal / as per expected.
But I have no idea how to do the same thing for our APEX servers (PRD and MTD), because … I never did it before, and I just do not understand (a) how to ask the question, and (b) how to interpret the potential answers I -have- found.
Please advise, point me to proper documents or give me some clues.
Product build is 21.2.6, Schema Compatibility 2021.10.15, Patch version 6.
(I can give webserver info, I think, but I am unclear on that too … sorry).
