I cannot run anything...

Folks:

I have installed the latest 1.6 JDK onto my system, and set the JAVA_HOME to the JDK home directory.

The JAVA_HOME is set to the JDK because I need to run Glassfish. The JDK resides in the following directory on Vista: C:\software\jdk6.

Unfortunately, whenever I attempt to run any applications, I get the following message:

Error: Could not open C:\software\jdk6\lib\jvm.cfg

This makes no sense, and I'd like to know what is causing this (I have never seen this problem before!).

Coul;d someone please tell me how to fix this???
