I can't perform backup, my backup got stuck

user482717May 15 2007 — edited May 15 2007
My database was down a few days ago (the server is down). I brouht it up, but there is a backup job running
nonstop, so I stopped that job. My usual backup had been set a year ago, and it
had been working fine. Now this backup is having problems. When I do the
back, it got stuck when it is back backup the datafiles, it just got stuck
there. It was never a problem before, but this problem started due to the other
night when the whole server was down. Now when I perform a rman back I got
stuck when the data files are backing up.

This is quite confusing when all of sudden the backup of control files having problems.
Here is the codes I use for rman
RMAN> ALLOCATE CHANNEL FOR MAINTENANCE TYPE DISK;
RMAN> BACKUP AS BACKUPSET INCREMENTAL LEVEL 0 DATABASE PLUS ARCHIVELOG;

but I can do this
RMAN>BACKUP DATAFILE 10;
RMAN>BACKUP ARCHIVE LOGS

Please help! I have Oracle 10g, on solaris.
