I am unable to uncheck/unmark the Amortize adjustment check box in Asset Workbench

I am entering unplanned depreciation for an asset enabled with amortize adjustment and unable to do so getting the error APP-OFA-48394.After that trying to uncheck /unmark the Amortize adjustment check box in Asset Workbench but I am unable to do so.Please assist
