Morning Gentleman,

I have a problem - I have absolutely NO idea on how to install Essbase.

We have a user in the environment that has Essbase Version 7 installed on his Windows XP system. The installation as far as I am aware does the following:

1. Installs the Hyperion files to the local disk root.
2. Once installed, reboot
3. Open up Excel and navigate to the BIN directory and select the file to get the Essbase addin.

That as far as my knowledge goes.

I was wondering if anyone could help me update my user to Essbase 11.1.2.1.0?

I have navigated to the downloads link and downloaded both of these files:

1. Oracle Essbase Clients Release 11.1.2.1.0
2. Oracle Essbase Spreadsheet Add-in Release 11.1.2.1.0

The first file when extracted showed Assembly.dat files
The 2nd file shows the adding only

Do I simply select the addin file and im updated or do I need to install something else?

I would be grateful for any help and instructions on how I can install this please?
