Hyperion EPM SSO Options

I found a document stating that Hyperion no longer supports SAML but was curious if anyone knew why. SAML1.1 and 2.0 are both available providers in WebLogic so it seems like it should work if they are properly configured. If it truly won't work what SSO solutions (if any) are able to be implemented? Thanks in advance and I apologize if this is in the wrong space.
