hugetlb and oracle crontab

441846Jun 25 2005 — edited Jun 26 2005
we are using Red Hat Release 3.0 (2.4.21-32.0.1.ELsmp) and oracle 9.2.0.6, we have configured successfully Hugetlb as explained in metalink : http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=262004.1

the problem is with crontab of the OS user oracle
from a crontab script ulimit -l will display 4k,
(if we login using ssh as oracle, ulimit -l will display 3145728 ).

all oracle crontab jobs fail with :
ORA-27103: internal error
Linux Error: 11: Resource temporarily unavailable
when we try to use sqlplus "/ as sysdba"

it seems like oracle crontab is not reading limits from : /etc/security/limits.conf

help needed
