hsperfdata folder

I have a CD distributed app that uses apache cd and java to allow the user to navigate through web pages that are on the cd. Some of the pages are dynamically generated by servlets. When they launch the CD product java.exe starts up and creates a temp file on the users hard drive in the location C:\WINDOWS\hsperfdata_username\2441 the numbers change each time the product is launched. Unfortunately some of our clients are not administrators on their machines and don't have write permissions to the windows directory. We would like to specify which directory to use as java's temp directory. Does anyone know how tis is done?
