HP VECTRA

hi all,
I would like to install solaris 8 intel version on HP VECTRA VL400 DT PIII but I can't because when it tries the webstart installation it suddenly reboots.
are there any patches needed before the installation process?
also is it possible to run the installation process successfuly on HP VECTRA VL800 P4?
I wish to have a response ASAP.
