HP SIM won't discover Oracle Linux systems

SimkillJun 19 2012 — edited Jun 19 2012
Hi all, I am having major issues getting my HP SIM 7.0 server discovering any Oracle Linux distro we have running on our site. The system will discover the ILO for the system and create a server object based on the serial number as discovered from the ILO itself, but the server is never picked up by the HP SIM discovery tasks even though the systems are pingable. Standard Red Hat Enterprise servers we have running do not have this issue and display correctly.

I have no idea where to go with this as I believe this is going to be some in depth configuration of Linux that I don't know enough about. I'm hoping I just need to open a port in the IPtables but I don't know which one.

Thanks in advance for any input!
