Hi all,

How unallocated space of hard drive can be used as raw device to install asm?

let us say we have hard drive of 100GB among which i have created partitions of 50 GB
and installed Red hat linux,

and remaining 50gb hard disk is not touched ie unallocated, so i would like to use this unallocated
space to be used as raw device by Operating System in order to install and configure ASM, please suggest..

Environment is:

DB :11G R2, OS RHEL 5.8

Thanks in advance.
