Java APIs

Hi,dear friends,

Anyone knows how to validate IPV6 address format?

Is there any mature algorithm or API which I can invoke directly?

Would you please tell me where I can find this, if you knows.

PS. The IPV6 address I wanna validate:
(1)link local address
(2)site local address
(3)multicast address
(4)address compatible with IPv4
(5)IPv4 projection address

Any reply is welcome.
