How to use package Text io

Dear all,

I want to import data from excel file to my form developed in 6i. I dont know how to use the package text io, can anyone send me the script which i can attach on a button and when the button is clicked it will open, read and import data into the form which has 5 columns; item_no, item_name, item_group, Unit_measurement and Quantity.

The block is item_details. The excel file has 5 columns too.

Can anyone advice me plse
